String games

I love how something like a loop of string can catch on here. It's all the rage in Quinn's grade, Whanake, and Wren and her friends have even taken to learning new string tricks. I feel like only in New Zealand could a favorite game from the 1800s make a resurgence.

We had a double sleepover the other night and the girls showed off their string skills over some pizza dinner

We had dinner at the Dixon's house another night and Miriam taught Quinn some of the one's she knew as a kid. Quinn was SO excited.

Now at school pickup I see so many of the kids going home with a loop of string. A timeless game apparently!
