Ice skating
The school holidays have begun! We get two weeks break from school for the girls before the next term begins. The first week we stayed in Wellington and took in what the city had to offer. Wellington city council sponsors an ice skating rink for a month every winter. It's rainy and 40s outside so incongruous with the ice inside the tent. It's such a treat for us to have anything to do with snow or ice so we went down to the waterfront for a skate.
The photos I took of the girls were portrait-like because if they had been action shots we would all have fallen down.
I hadn't heard the announcement about why we all needed to get off the ice for 10 minutes so I asked if it was because the zamboni was coming on. Zamboni, what's that? No one knew the term. It was a tiny little zamboni so maybe they call those something else. Zambonini?
