Running
Owhiro Bay School just held their annual fun run. This year they practiced every day with the entire school running a course around the fields and up the hill to get in shape for the event. I lucked out again this year and had the day off so got to see them run.
Quinn came in second, I just caught her backside
What we need on the student council is someone who can listen, be a role
model, and relate to others.
I think I would be a good candidate, because:
1) I am helpful, and it is my pleasure to help out
2) I listen to reason and logic in any circumstance
3) I can relate to others, using my communication skills
4) I try to be the best I can be
If I were voted in, I would like to change:
1) the bullying at our school
2) get enough eating time
3) more field trips
Since there is only one year 4, I would like to represent my year as
best as I can. That means we often don’t get the responsibility jobs we
need, like carrying the purple bags, lunch ordering, reading things out
in assembly, and going on the computer in assembly.
I would like you to vote for me. I will listen to reason, and try to do
the best for the school. Thank you!

Wren and her 4 best friends led the pack but then Wren lost her breath at the top of the hill and couldn't finish. She had been sick for the last week and is still regaining lung capacity but did a great job despite.

Wren also ran for student council. Her speech was pretty cute and she wrote it all herself. She campaigned on students getting to have more responsibilities rather than less...

She won a seat on the council! The group (two reps from each class, except Quinns for some reason) got together to decide what is the most unsafe at school. They all agreed it was the swings. That warmed my heart. Not a gunman coming into the school to shoot them, but using the swings properly. I love the innocence that still exists here.
