Walking the plank
On our last weekend before the start of school we rode bikes down the wharf at Wellington harbor. It's such a nice place to be on a sunny day. On the pedestrian path are some jumping off points into the harbor, for those braving the plunge. I brought bathing suits for Lucas and I, just in case we wanted to walk the plank.
Along the waterfront there is a pirate plank that juts out over stingray cove, where stingrays like to take cover from Orcas. It has always looked so inviting and this was the perfect sweltering day for it.
Lucas takes off into the harbor

My turn. So high!

Jump!

I wonder if any pirates ever took a flying leap off the plank? Seems like it may have been a more somber plunge than this...

Along the way we saw a stingray! Just hanging out in the shallows
