Summertime

There is something about living in a house whose inside temperature often matches the outside temperature that makes summertime all the more delicious. As a sure sign that summer has arrived we pulled the plastic insulation off the doors to the porch. It is liberating to send the girls off to school without jackets and to walk around barefoot again.

Summer means swimming again in the ocean, though still with wetsuits. Quinn said this was a "family of wetsuits", a now common site we they dry them on the line.



Last week we went to the beach straight from school, Lucas met us, and we all boogie boarded for the few hours before dinner. Bridget has loaned me her surf boards for the summer and with a few days off next week I'm hoping to enjoy more Lyall Bay days.
