Dinner playdate
I met Dallas on Wren's first day of school when her son, Max, was doing the first of his 4 pre-primary school visits. His birthday is in May when he'll be joining Wren's class. The next day she offered to drive Quinn and I back up the hill and stayed for coffee at our house with her youngest, Nikau, (pronounced Nico).
She lives just down (or up) the block and her house butts up against the Tawa Tawa forest reserve. They've carved out an amazing playspace there with zip line (called flying fox), trampoline, slide and playhouse. So of course Wren and Quinn want to be over there all the time.
Dallas is half Maori and her husband is from England so it's quite of mix of cultures. Wellington is like that, people are either from another country, or married to someone from another country or have lived in another country for a few years. Norman and his wife and kids have lived in Chile, Columbia and the US. It lends itself to a very diverse community.
The girls out for one last jump on the trampoline before we head home

Lucas reading superman booklets with Nikau, Wren and Quinn. Tara in background, making pizza.
